Supported charities
As someone who cares greatly about wildlife and the environment Lucy wishes to use her artistic ability to make a commitment to conservation. Her aim is to raise funds to support a variety of fantastic charities that work incredibly hard to ensure both species and their habitats are protected for future generations. She also hopes that through the sale of her artwork, people will gain a deeper connection to nature. She hopes to continue adding more charities to this list over the coming years.
Helping rhinos
Helping Rhinos is a non-profit organisation based in the UK and America. Their main aim is to provide support to projects that work to ensure the survival of sustainable rhino populations so that these magnificent creatures can still be admired by future generations. Their partner projects include; the Black Mambas, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Zululand Rhino Orphanage, the Kariega Foundation, and the African Rhino Conservation Collaboration. The organisation has also created some projects of its own including Wildlife Conservation Site where they are working with various NGOs and landowners to protect and preserve key habitats for wildlife, and Rhinocation which provides a range of educational resources for children. Combined, these projects cover a range of key focus areas such as wildlife and habitat protection, community support and education, scientific research, and political awareness in relation to wildlife legislation; all of which are vital components to allow for conservation success.
